EXPLANATION TEXT.

 

I. Definition of Explanation Text
Explanation is a text which tells processes relating to forming of natural, social, scientific and cultural phenomena. Explanation text is to say ‘why’ and ‘how’ of the forming of the phenomena. It is often found in science, geography and history text books.

II. Purpose of Explanation Text
– Explanation is a text which tells processes relating to forming of natural, social, scientific, and cultural phenomena.
– To explain how or why something happens.

III. Generic Structure of Explanation Text
– General statement
General statement; stating the phenomenon issues which are to be explained.
– Sequenced of explanation
Sequenced explanation; stating a series of steps which explain the phenomena.

  How to Do Insert Sim Card Cellphone When inserting the SIM Card to cellphone, make sure that the cellphone has been switched off and follow the direction bellow : First of all, press the locking catch and slide the cover then lift it off the phone. After that, push two catches in the opposite directions and remove the battery. Next, slide the SIM card carefully into the slot and make sure that the golden connect arson are facing to the connector of the phone. Then, put the battery and align it until snaps into its place. EXPOSITION TEXT (analytical exposition)

  I. Definition An analytical exposition is a type of spoken or written text that is intended to persuade the  listeners or readers that something is the case. To make the persuasion stronger, the speaker or  writer gives some arguments as the fundamental reasons why something is the case. II. Purpose of Analytical Exposition Text – To convince the reader that the topics presented was an important topic to be discussed or gained attention by way of providing arguments or opinions that support the main idea or topic. III. Generic Structure: # Thesis: Introducing the topic and indicating the writer’s point of view. # Argument : Explaining the argument to support the writer’s position. The number of arguments may vary, but each argument must be supported by evidence and explanation. # Reiteration: Restating the writer’s point of view / to strengthen the thesis. PASSIVE VOICE.

I. Definition A passive construction occurs when you make the object of an action into the subject of a sentence. That is, whoever or whatever is performing the action is not the grammatical subject of the sentence. II. Function The passive voice is used when we want to emphasize the action (the verb) and the object of a sentence rather than subject. This means that the subject is either less important than the action itself or that we don’t know who or what the subject is. III. Passive Voice Formula IV.
